adj.

Definizione

A harsh wine, rich in young tannins, which interactswith the tongue aggressively, with a roughness analogous to the harshness of a wood life. 1

Nota

[Rough is] Mostly a term for young wines. Rough wines rarely soften enough with age to be really enjoyable. By the time the roughness has gone, so has all of the fruit. 2

Contesto

The tannins are tight and gripping and the acidity is high making this a fairly rough wine that needs to round out in bottle. 3
