Definizione

A salt of carbonic acid (containing the anion HCO3) in which one hydrogen atom has been replaced. 1

Nota

Ca(HCO3)2; Calcium hydrogen carbonate. A compound stable only in solution, formed when calcium carbonate in water suspension is dissolved by passing carbon dioxide gas. It is water soluble. On heating it decomposes to calcium carbonate, releasing carbon dioxide. 2
