Different species and varieties of grapevine have one of three types of flower. The most common and most fruitful, are those with bisexual or hermaphrodite flowers, whose pistil and stamens are both functional. Some vine varieties (such as Ohanez) may have female or pistillate flowers, with a well-developed, functional pistil but with reflexed stamens which contain usually sterile pollen; [...]. 2

Most cultivated grapes have perfect flowers, in which the pistil is fully developed (with a complete stigma, style and ovary) and the stamens are upright and produce fertile pollen. 3
